Importance and general aspects:

One of the most important building is Kesik Minaret has originally been built as a temple in the Roman time but converted into a church by Byzantines. In addition to this building started to be used as a mosque by Turks in 14857. It was destroyed by a fire in 1919 and tip of its minaret fell off. One hundred years later in 2019, it was restored and opened to use as a mosque.

There are 2 faster options in order to reach to Kesik Minaret; by car or by taxi. Apart from these, you can arrive by walking to this area as there is a short distance (only 900 m) from the city center to the Kesik Minaret.
